This month we have published a weekly menu for the lactose intolerant for the magazine Objective Bienestar. As you already know, lactose intolerance is the difficulty our body has in digesting milk sugar, lactose. This happens, on many occasions, because some adults are genetically less able to produce the enzyme lactase.
Although it is difficult for us to eat a diet low in lactose, there are times when dairy and cream are very present in our diet (as in the case of desserts). And if we also have to eat out, it can be more difficult to control. In these specific cases, we can take a drug that is nothing more than the lactase enzyme that will allow us to digest a quantity of lactose without suffering discomfort.
